Iceland offers 'plenty of choice for indulgence'
Iceland offers people on luxury tailor made holidays "plenty of choice" for pampering themselves, according to the promotional body for the country.
The Iceland Tourist Board has written about the many reasons to visit the destination, which is well known for its natural sights and experiences, on a luxury tailor made holiday.
"There's … plenty of choice for relaxing indulgence and pampering yourself," the organisation noted on its website.
The body, which aims to promote travel and tourism in the European country, also noted that the cuisine of the nation is "excellent".
"If you're looking to try a few typically Icelandic goodies, try hangikjot (smoked lamb to eat in sandwiches), skyr – a delicious high-protein yogurt like substance, puffin or hardfiskur (protein-filled dried fish strips)," the tourism board said.
According to the tourism board, some other things that are worth doing when visiting Iceland including seeing the magnificent geysers that are dotted across the island and taking in the myriad cultural attractions across the country.
