Women 'wear the trousers in selecting luxury family holiday destinations'
When it comes to deciding the destination for a luxury family holiday, women are the ones who have the most say, new research has found.
According to a survey by Tesco Travel Money, women wear the trousers in terms of choosing where to go, while men are the ones who exercise control over the finances.
Just over a quarter (27 per cent) of ladies questioned stated that they have the most influence on the destination compared to 17 per cent of men.
Both men and women agreed that the ideal luxury family holiday scenario is relaxing on a beach and doing very little.
The study also revealed that women are more likely to want to go on a luxury family holiday than men, with 26 per cent of ladies stating that a trip with relatives was their ideal choice compared to 17 per cent of men.
A recent poll by travelsupermarket.com found that 90 per cent of women admit to not wearing a lot of the items they take away with them on luxury family holidays.
