Queenstown 'is a top romantic-adventure destination'

Couples who want their New Zealand adventure to be as much about romance as adrenaline-pumping activities will find Queenstown to be the perfect place for it.

Kip Brook, from Word of Mouth Media NZ, said that he tried his hardest to resist the seductive charm of this part of the country but failed miserably, with the mountains particularly awe inspiring.

He highlighted the fact that Queenstown was recently named the number one outdoor and adventure destination in the world in TripAdvisor's 2010 Travellers Choice awards, with people loving the bungee jumping, paragliding and other sports.

However, the resort is not just a place to experience extreme activities, it is also a wonderfully romantic setting.

"The views are breathtaking. Queenstown is a slice of paradise all right - for lovers and for adventure nuts," Mr Brook added.

Couples on a New Zealand adventure can look forward to a wonderful cultural experience as well, with craft markets and live music to be enjoyed right across the resort.
