Zermatt: A resort in everybody's top 10

All ski enthusiasts have a list of their favourite luxury ski resorts and Zermatt is likely to be on each and every one.

That is according to PlanetSKI, which stated that Switzerland as a whole is a snow sports fan's dream, with various luxury ski resorts each with their own charm and character.

The website highlighted that Switzerland was where the idea of winter tourism began and its esteemed Alpine history is evident in the ski resorts found across the country.

"It has some of the best resorts in the Alps, with Zermatt and Verbier in anyone's top ten ski resorts," the source added.

Another string to Switzerland's bow is that each of its resorts offers good value for money, with a very high level of customer service.

According to a recent feature in the Independent, the panoramas from Zermatt are among the best in the world, with visitors able to enjoy breathtaking views of the Matterhorn.
