Luxury ski resorts: November is a good month to go to Zermatt

Switzerland is home to numerous luxury ski resorts but the best one to visit during the month of November is Zermatt.

That is the view of Catherine Parker, writing for BootsnAll, who said that while skiing is a seasonal sport, there are luxury ski resorts across the world which means enthusiasts can find somewhere to enjoy their pastime any time of the year.

For the month of November, Zermatt is the best destination, with fresh snow settling on the ground and the mountains.

Another part of the attraction is that moonlight ski runs have been introduced across all three snowboard and ski areas.

"On full moon nights guests can dine at an upper mountain restaurant before cruising down the pistes in the moonlight," Ms Parker added.

And there is no shortage of great places to eat either, with CNN Traveller recently highlighting Zum See and Chez Vrony as being two of the nicest eateries in the resort.
