Luxury ski holidays in Val d'Isere are about much more than the time spent on the snow, as the resort is home to a number of classy restaurants, including the Edelweiss.

According to an entry on the TravelPod blog, the eatery is one of the highlights of Val d'Isere, with a buzzing atmosphere and a range of delicious dishes.

The source stated that no matter what the conditions outside, the establishment is alive with people from all over the world taking time off the slopes to enjoy some food and drink.

"If the weather is bad then the indoors bustles with the sound of chinking glasses and a crackling fire, but when the sun shines the terrace seats a large number of people with a view down the valley to die for," the article noted.

Among the dishes which couples can enjoy are foie gras and Perigord filet of beef.
