Luxury ski holidays: Skiing conditions in Zermatt are always excellent

One of the things that helps Zermatt stand out from many other luxury ski resorts in Europe is the fact that it boasts excellent skiing conditions 365 days a year.

That is according to travel expert Melissa McKinley, who wrote on her personal blog Travel With Melissa that Zermatt ticks all of the boxes, offering magical scenic beauty alongside a world-class skiing infrastructure.

"Zermatt's three ski areas crest at over 10,000 ft, meaning the skiing conditions are always excellent and runs are at least five miles long," she stated.

However, skiing is only part of the fun when people go on luxury ski holidays to Zermatt, as a walk around the car-free village offers a wonderful experience as well.

Ms McKinley also highlighted the numerous restaurants in the resort, claiming that there is some fabulous cuisine for visitors to enjoy.

According to a recent article on CNN Traveller, Zermatt "is the capital of the long ski lunch".
