Ms Zay also said that no luxury family holiday in Thailand is complete without an elephant ride, while golfers should explore some of the 200 gold courses dotted across the nation.

The floating markets should also be admired, while visiting a medicine man and learning about ancient remedies is also recommended.

Finally, Ms Zay stated that visitors should spend some time with a hill tribe.

"Of all the things to do in Thailand, visiting a hill tribe is one of the most unique experiences," she added.
