Tailor made holidays: Mexico offers 'fascinating' activities

Families planning tailor made holidays in Mexico will find lots of fascinating things to do and see in the country, it has been claimed.

Mexican opera star Rolando Villazon claimed that there are many tourist attractions in the "great country" including the beautiful Oaxaxa city.
He wrote in the Daily Mail: "The region also boasts Monte Alban, spectacular ruins dating back to 500 BC, which are 1,300 ft up the mountain.

"The ancient Zapotec people actually levelled the mountain top so they could build this ceremonial site. The views are fantastic."

The country is also home to a number of romantic and secluded locations, such as the town of San Miguel de Allende, which is now a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Newlyweds could consider following in Mr Villazon's footsteps and taking their honeymoon in the town, which is filled with cobbled streets, elegant squares, colonial homes and stunning churches and chapels.
